Solskjaer gives injury update on Greenwood, Williams and Shaw

Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has expressed hope that some of his injured players would be fit before the match against Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams had to be taken off in our match against Southampton on Monday after picking up injuries, but during his pre-match conference earlier, Solskjaer hinted that even Greenwood is doubtful for Thursday’s fixture.

He told the media: “I’ll give Luke as much time as possible – him and Mason, their ankles are swollen and a bit blown up.

“We’ve not trained obviously this morning yet but we’ll hopefully have two, maybe all three (including Brandon Williams) of them.

“In the heat of the moment he’ll play on and adrenaline gets you going, and then you get a little bit of reaction after. I said after the game that my ankles were a bit weak after many years of football.

“But obviously Mason carried on and I think it should have been looked upon by the referee definitely.”

Many United fans were left fuming, after Romeu seemed to have committed a heavy foul on Greenwood in the Southampton match, and wasn’t sent off by the referee.

Either ways, we’re all hopeful Greenwood and the rest of the guys can be available for our match on Thursday, because obviously they’re all important to our success.
