Manchester United stand to miss out on some major money if we fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, reports say.
The Red Devils currently sit in fifth on the English Premier League table, and level on points with Leicester City, who are fourth and have 59 points, but now, leave qualification for the competition to chance, after failing to beat Southampton on Monday.
Unless United makes it to Europe’s biggest club competition next season, we could lose as much as £25 million to our kit sponsors Adidas, according to a report from Daily Mail.
Adidas currently pays the club £75 million as part of the sponsorship agreement, but if United fail to qualify for Champions League football for the second season in a row it will be cut to £50 million.
United still have hopes of qualifying though, as long as we keep winning our matches in the Premier League and the Europa League.
