Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are Manchester United’s top goalscorers this season, with 21 goals apiece.
Both forwards scored again, on Monday, to help us to a 2-2 draw against Southampton at Old Trafford, with Martial helping set up Rashy for his first from open play since the restart.
There’s a healthy rivalry between the two men, and the boss man believes they bring out the best in each other.
Speaking at his pre-match conference, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer said of the forwards “They’re all team players and it’s very positive. The way they look for each other.
“Is he in better position or am I able to finish?”.
But it’s great when you’re a striker scoring goals, on top of your game, fit and strong. Mason has come into the frame and not looked back since the restart, and it’s fantastic to see them on the training ground.”
Olé also had nice things to say about Rashford, who is expected to receive a honorary degree from the university of Manchester.
” We’re so proud of Marcus,” he added. ‘He’s a great person and a great human being. He cares so much more about others than himself. Hopefully he’ll keep his personality for the rest of his life and be himself.”
