Manchester United is reportedly looking to offload up to six players this summer, as the club tries to raise money to fund the transfers of top targets like Jadon Sancho.
United’s form in 2020 has been impressive, especially after the signings of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo, but it all seems a little too late, as we still find ourselves struggling to secure a top four finish.
According to The Telegraph, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his side, and is willing to authorize the sales of a few of our players, if it helps generate money to get top players, who can help take us back to the pinnacle of football.
The report adds that Phil Jones, Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling, Jesse Lingard, Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo are on the list of possible outgoings this summer, with Jadon Sancho, the primary reason for their sales.
Solskjaer is also said to be interested in bringing in another centre back to Old Trafford, with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly already mentioned as a target.
Mason Greenwood has been in good form, and Anthony Martial has 21 goals this season, but there have been calls for Solskjaer to bring in a top centre forward to fire us to the top, and it’s not unlikely the Norwegian will consider the possibility if the funds are there.
