Alan Shearer has expressed confidence in the goalscoring ability of Manchester United young forward Mason Greenwood.
The Newcastle United legend also claimed that the United academy product is capable of breaking his Premier League record of 260 career goals.
“Goals, goals and goals, in the next 10 to 12 years if he [Greenwood] can keep his feet on the ground. The potential is there, yes [to be a world-class player]. It’s still early, but I’m really impressed with what I’ve seen,” the Premier League’s all-time top scorer Alan Shearer told The Sun.
“As many goals as me ? Why not? I like the way he hits the ball. That’s what I liked most. I think he’s a natural finisher. I think ‘he’s the best I’ve seen at this age in a long time.”
Greenwood has scored 16 Premier League goals so far and has shown potential that there’s still more to come from him.
