Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has revealed the advice Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha gave him before his Manchester United transfer.
The England International joined the club last summer in a £45m deal, and has impressed so far in his debut season at the club.
Zaha has also played for the Red Devils, but his stay in Manchester was largely unsuccessful, making just two league appearances for the club after signing in 2013.
The Ivorian was keen to see his departing teammate do well at the Theatre of Dreams.
“I did, yeah,” Wan-Bissaka told GQ of talking to Zaha ahead of moving north “He just told me what to expect at United.
“I knew it was going to be way different from Palace, but it was still a surprise when I got here.
“Wilf told me just to keep my feet on the ground, keep doing what I had been doing at Palace and go from there.”
“Definitely the fanbase,” Wan-Bissaka said on the biggest difference after moving clubs. “I knew it was huge, but I didn’t think it was as big as it was.
“I remember we went on tour and just the number of fans in other countries was incredible.’
