Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has admitted that Manchester United can sign Jadon Sancho in the summer, but only if their conditions are met.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League after another impressive season with Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
Manchester United have emerged as his most likely destination, but the club is reportedly only willing to pay £50m to sign the England international, who has scored 20 goals this season in all competitions.
The German club have slapped a price tag of €120 million (£107m) Sancho, and insist it would take meeting their asking price to sign him and it would also have to be done at a time that suits them.
“Jadon has a valid contract with us and we would be very happy if he is still with us next season,” Zorc told German publication Waz.
“To think about anything else at all, the timing would have to be right, and secondly, our price expectations would have to be met 100%.”
Sancho is under contract at Dortmund until 2022 and does not look likely to sign a new deal at the club.
Zorc is keen to avoid being short-changed on the England winger due to the coronavirus crisis and the economic uncertainty that has come with it.
“Should Jadon leave, we’ll make additions in our attacking department,” Zorc told Kicker. “There is certainly one or the other players on our radar.”
