It appears the rumours that Paul Pogba is excited and swimming in happiness at Manchester United these days are true, as new reports suggest the Frenchman is on the verge of renewing his contract at Old Trafford.

According football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have opened talks with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, over a possible extension of the player’s contract.

Pogba’s current deal at Old Trafford runs untill 2021, but he has been superb for us, and seems more focused and hungry to play since returning from injury weeks ago.

His partnership with Bruno Fernandes in midfield has helped United maintain our unbeaten run for 16 matches now, while piling pressure on third-placed Chelsea.

The boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, also seemed to hint at the contract negotiations recently, when asked about it by reporters.

In his own words: “I can’t comment on discussions with players, but of course we want to keep the best players around the club.”
