Manchester United recorded their fourth win in five Premier League matches since the league resumed, as they destroyed Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park on Thursday night.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring early in the first half, as he converted a controversial penalty, following a foul on him in the 18 yard area, before Mason Greenwood added a second, to give United a comfortable lead into halftime.

Paul Pogba scored a third goal in the 58th minute, to ensure all three points were in the bag.

United could have scored up to five goals, but the woodwork denied Anthony Martial a goal, while Marcus Rashford’s effort into the bottom corner was ruled out for offside.

Manchester United have now amassed 58 points, and are just a point behind Leicester City in fourth and Chelsea in third place.
