Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed forward Mason Greenwood for the England national team.
“If you can handle playing for United, then you can handle playing for any team and Mason’s got the qualities that not many others have,” the Norwegian said, as quoted by Daily Mirror.
“So he could play for England full team or the Under-21s, I don’t really mind. I know he’s doing well for us and it’s great to have him here.”
It has been reported that England boss Gareth Southgate was considering giving Greenwood a senior call-up for the March friendlies before the coronavirus outbreak.
Greenwood now has 16 goals in all competitions this season.
