According to reports, Manchester United are reportedly in a transfer tug of war with crosstown rivals Manchester City for defensive transfer targets Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.
The Independent claim that both sides are interested in Koulibaly and Skriniar. Italian side Napoli have lowered their asking price for Koulibaly to around £70 million, while Inter are said to be open to a potential swap deal involving the 25-year-old Skriniar.
Also on the Red Devils’ list is RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and as a cut-price option, Swansea City’s 22-year-old prospect Joe Rodon.
Both Solskjaer and Guardiola are eager to add both defenders to their respective teams, and it’s left to be seen which manager wins the race for their signatures.
