Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has claimed that the club’s major improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the more compact style of play he has implemented in the team.
Speaking on BT Sport, the ex-striker said: “Man United looked very steady. They look, at times, very, very good. If you look at the game [last week] versus Sheffield United, they looked fantastic.
“If you compare that to half a year ago, they look more compact. They can leave the big guns out against Norwich. You can just tell when Paul Pogba’s playing, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford – they go a level up.”
Currently, we are unbeaten in 14 games in all competition as we aim to finish the 2019/20 season on a high and secure a Champions League place.
The Red Devils’ next game against Brighton is on Tuesday. We are currently sixth in the table, three points behind fifth-placed Wolves with a game in hand.
