Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been warned Anthony Martial isn’t the No.9 that will help Manchester United win titles.
This is according to Jamie O’Hara , who has raised doubts about the ability of Martial, and is not confident Manchester United will not be title challengers with the Frenchman leading the line for the club.
Speaking on talkSPORT about the Frenchman, the former Tottenham man said: “He can be a world-class player, he showed how good he was with his finishing in and around the box. For me, the jury is still out on him in terms of whether he can be the no.9 at United who is going to go on and be a legend and win them trophies.
“Personally, I don’t think that is him, I don’t think he is quite at that level. When you talk of the players they [the Red Devils] have had over the years; Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robin van Persie… I just don’t know if Martial does it enough on a weekly basis to win them a title.”
Martial scored a hat-trick in our game against Sheffield United and can be brilliant on his day. But the lack of consistency in his game is a major issue.
The Frenchman has scored 19 goals this season as the Red Devils look to secure a Champions League place and win silverware.
