Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has revealed he believes Dean Henderson could have done more to stop Arsenal from progressing to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, after the on-loan Dani Ceballos scored late in the game, to hand the Gunners the win on Sunday.
Speaking to BT Sport about the goal, Ferdinand said: “I spoke about this a while ago, as a defender I would be very upset with the keeper there.
“I’m saying to the keeper ‘the front post, nothing goes through the front post’.
“The goalkeeper union might suggest something different but when I was playing that was how I used to feel.”
Henderson was in great form all season before the coronavirus-induced break, and many believe he is a genuine threat to David De Gea’s place as number one at Manchester United.
But of course, the 22 year old’s form seems to have dropped a bit of late, and he needs to rediscover his top self as soon as possible.
