Ahead of our clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has given an insight into the nature of injury problems facing the club.
According to a report on the club’s official website, with the exceptions of Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones who have long-term injuries, Olé should have a fully fit squad to pick his players from as we meet Brighton.
The report further quotes Olé as saying: “Apart from, of course, the after-effects of the physical work-out and coming back late, they had a recovery day yesterday and today will be an easy day and we’re just preparing for tomorrow.
“I think the buzz and the energy that the win and a semi-final place will give you will help us tomorrow night.
“We manage a squad, we manage players differently and Luke [Shaw] has had a good upturn in form. He’s playing some good football, let’s see if he starts this one.”
Despite the level of seriousness attached to the game, Olé is expected to use most of the players that featured against Norwich, as he tries to keep some others fresh and healthy for the oncoming matches.
Ighalo did score a goal against Norwich in just his fourth start for the club. It would be interesting to see how the Nigerian fares against Brighton in a match United definitely need to win.
