Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has advised the club to sell Paul Pogba and sign Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish as his replacement.
Speaking to the Premier League Productions about the Frenchman’s future, the former striker said: “Now he might just be dispensable if they get a big bid.
“If I was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, I would get big money bearing in mind they’ve got Fernandes now and then you could go and invest in someone like Grealish.
“He might have the [playing] style that compliments Manchester United better than Pogba does at the moment.”
Jack Grealish has been linked with a summer move to Old Trafford, but Villa’s £80m asking price looks to be a stumbling block in securing a deal for the England International.
Meanwhile, Pogba appears to be fully focused on staying at the club despite the constant rumours linking him with a move away from the Theatre of Dreams.
