Ryan Giggs has named the legendary Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo as the two best players he played with at Manchester United.
The Wales manager made this known while reacting to the question asked on the MUTV group chat.
In his own words: “The best player I played with is Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Obviously he was only there for a short space of time and he was brilliant for Manchester United and then went on to do even better elsewhere.
“Scholesy is the best player I’ve played with at Manchester United. You’ve all seen it in training – you couldn’t get near him.
“His brain was just quicker than everyone else, his range of passing, nasty. You think you’ve got him and he’ll just pop it off and give it the little feint. He was just brilliant in training.”
To be honest, Giggs’ picks are no surprises at all, seeing as one of them has won the Ballon d’Or multiple times, and the other is arguably the best midfielder we have had at Old Trafford.
Scholes spent his entire career with Man United, before retiring in 2013, while Ronaldo, on the other hand, has had a shiny career, playing for the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus.
