Our remarkable turnaround against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League back in March 2019 is one of the best victories the club has achieved in recent years, which explains why Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay says it is his best game ever for the club.
The Scotland international made this known while replying a question from a fan, who asked him what his best game for the club was.
Recounting some of the big games he’s been a part of, McTominay said: “That’s a tough one. There’s been a lot of games where I’ve come away thinking: that was special. It has to be PSG away I think. That has to be brought into the equation.
“Barcelona at home, even though we lost, was for me an amazing night which I thoroughly enjoyed. Playing against some of the world’s best players, which you do a lot in the Premier League, but you don’t do it at the top, top, top of the tree every week.
“They’re games that you have to look back on. But I’d probably say PSG, in the circumstances: the way that we did it, the way that we performed, the way that we came back, I thought it was incredible, and obviously that will live long in the memory.”
United trailed PSG 2-0 after the first leg at Old Trafford, but somehow, managed to turn it around with a resounding 3-1 victory at the Parc De Princes.
It was a remarkable win, and one that perhaps, sold Olè Gunnar Solskjaer as a very competent candidate for a permanent role as manage at Old Trafford.
