Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has revealed that there is a big difference playing for Manchester United and for Chelsea.
The Serbian opened up to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by stating that the spotlight at Manchester United is greater than at former club Chelsea.
The Serbian spent three years in his second stint at Stamford Bridge and was instrumental during two title-winning seasons in West London.
The Serbian was signed by former Boss Jose Mourinho in a shock £40m deal with United in 2017 from Chelsea.
The player had to overcome a difficult period to do so and he told Solskjaer that the biggest difference between life at Old Trafford and life at Stamford Bridge is the increased level of scrutiny.
“Anything we do is magnified or scrutinised,” Solskjaer told United We Stand.
“Nemanja [Matić] told me that when he lived in London, he could walk around and never be spotted. As soon as he became a Manchester United player that all changed.”
