Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay, has tipped teammate, Mason Greenwood, to become a star soon.
When asked which United youngster stands out during a Q&A session with fans on the official Manchester United website, the Scotland international said: “You see Mason [Greenwood], obviously, coming in and Mason’s on his way to being established.
“He’s not quite at that level of being a regular first-teamer, and that’s what Mason has to strive to become.
“He’s one of the most talented players that I’ve seen for a long time – his left-foot, right-foot shooting is ridiculous.”
Moving forward, McTominay also said he believes it is the responsibility of him and his more experienced teammates to help the younger ones come up fast.
“For me, it’s my responsibility – Marcus, Jesse, the more experienced ones like Juan, Nemanja, Granty, for example – we’ve got to take a responsibility now to push these younger boys and get them up to a level where it’s justifiable that they’ve reached their potential,” he added.
Both McTominay and Greenwood have been in good form for United this season, with the latter alone, scoring 12 times across all competitions.
They, like the rest of the team, are also back to training, ahead of the June restart of the 2019/20 season.
