Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has been named one of the most influential figures in world football, according to French football magazine, organisers of the popular Ballon d’Or award.

In the rankings, Ronaldo is placed in second, behind Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is at number one.

Many would expect to see Lionel Messi come in at third at least, but sorry guys, the Argentine is not even in the top 5. Instead, at number three is FIFA president, Gianni Infatino, while Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp is at fourth.

Super football agent, Jorge Flores, is at number five, Juventus president, Andrea Agnelli is sixth, while (wait for it) Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi is seventh.

Moving forward, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez is eighth on the list, US female national team captain, Megan Rapinoe is ninth, and Swiss Justice rounds off the top ten in tenth.

It’s an interesting list, to be honest, and one United fans can be proud of, even if Ronaldo now represents Juventus.
