Bruno Fernandes’ Man United move sparks legal battle between Sampdoria and Sporting Lisbon

Bruno Fernandes’ move to Manchester United has reportedly sparked a legal battle between the player’s former teams.

According to A Bola, Sampdoria is claiming they’re entitled a £4 million payment from Sporting Lisbon for his sale to Man United, as demanded by their contract with the Portuguese side in 2017.

However, Sporting have debunked the claim, as according to them, Fernandes annulled his contract when a group of their players was attacked by some fans back in 2018.

Reports also say that FIFA is monitoring the dispute, and may have to get involved soon enough.

Fernandes’s move to United in January cost the club over £40 million, but the fee could increase to £60 million as a result of other terms and conditions.
