Manchester United legend Andy Cole has hailed Bruno Fernandes’ mental strength in helping to spark life in the club’s form and inspiring our 11-match unbeaten streak before the season was suspended.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News on how the Portuguese influenced the squad’s improvement in performance levels, he said: “Mentality, that’s massive in football. Confidence as well. Once you’ve got your confidence people start believing in each other.
“We can talk about Fernandes coming in, he’s done extremely well and it’s looked like he’s galvanised the rest of the players as well to start playing their A-games.
“He’s done it, he’s started to bring the best out of a few of the other players, which is important.”
The Portuguese had a bright start to his United career, scoring 3 goals and assisting 4 in just 9 games and managing to win four individual accolades in just under two months before the campaign was suspended.
