Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano insists there might be more to Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard switching to Mino Raiola as his new agent.
He believes that players turn to Raiola only if they want to change clubs.
“I think when a player goes with Mino Raiola, it’s because he wants to change clubs,” he said while speaking on The United Stand’s podcast.
Indeed, the 26-year-old’s decision to appoint Raiola as his agent did not go down well with the fans either.
While there have been talks of an exit for Lingard, nothing concrete news about a potential deal has surfaced.
Since towards the end of last season, Lingard has suffered a drastic dip in form. His failure to score a single league goal this term has worsened the situation.
AS Roma and Atletico Madrid were linked with moves for the England International earlier this season.
Meanwhile, his current contract with the club will expire in June 2021.
There is an option to extend it for another year but as of now, there has been nothing to indicate that will happen.
