Former Real Madrid goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, has named Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in his greatest ever football 11.
In the team which Casillas named for Marca, Giggs gets a place on the left wing, while Scholes is put in midfield.
The team also boasts presence from other football legends like Gianluigi Buffon, Paulo Maldini, Marco Van Basten and more, in what seems a 3-4-3 type formation.
Casillas has plenty of memories with both Giggs and Scholes, as he squared off with them, as Madrid met with United on a number of occasions during his time with the Spanish side.
One match that comes to mind is the game between both sides in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League back in 2002/2003. Madrid came out winners, but it wasn’t a cake walk.
Giggs and Scholes retired from active football in 2014 and 2013, respectively, after contributing years of their lives to helping United win trophies.
