Real Madrid have slammed an insane price tag on Federico Valverde, in a bid to ward off interest from other clubs.
Per Diario Madridista, Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing Valverde to Old Trafford, but Madrid have outrageously upped his buyout clause to £450 million.
Valverde is the latest on a growing list of potential replacements for Paul Pogba, should he leave United this summer, but United are unlikely to break the bank for such a young player with little experience.
Valverde is 22 and isn’t a prolific goalscorer just yet. He does seem to have potential, but the price just isn’t right for his current status.
The Uruguayan joined Madrid in 2017, and has made 38 appearances for the Spanish side, scoring just twice.
