Jude Odion Ighalo’s contract at Manchester United is set to expire in two months, but Manchester United are very confident the Nigerian will stay beyond then.
According to sports journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are keen on buying Ighalo on a permanent basis from Shanghai Shenhua, just as the player himself is keen to play for the club.
Fabrizio further adds that United have already opened talks with Ighalo’s parent club to that effect, and things are expected to go in the right direction.
Ighalo has been an instant hit for Manchester United, having scored four goals across all competitions. Olè Gunnar Solskjaer recently hinted the Nigerian will be at the club next season, despite concerns he may go back to China.
