Arsenal Legend Ian Wright has said midfielder Bruno Fernandes will become a much better player once the team understands his style of play.
The 25-year-old has made an impressive start to his United career with three goals in his first six matches for the club.
The Portugal international scored his third United goal in our 1-1 draw with Everton on Sunday in the Premier League, and Wright is confident that the Portuguese will become better.
“He’s put up massive numbers in Portugal and everyone thought ‘well, it’s just the Portuguese league,’” Wright told Match of the Day 2.
“What will happen as time goes by is his team-mates will get used to him and what he can do.
“I can’t wait to see what happens when they do get used to him.
“Look at how sharp he is, this is what Man Utd weren’t doing before.
“Everything was so slow and methodic [before he signed].”
The draw with Everton on Sunday saw the club stay fifth in the table, three points behind Chelsea in fourth.
