According to report from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Serie A side Inter Milan are unlikely to make Alexis Sanchez’s move to the Giuseppe Meazza permanent unless the Chilean’s form improves in the remainder of the season.
The Chilean joined the Nerazzurri on a season-long loan deal last summer but has scored only one goal in eight Serie A appearances.
He has missed a large portion of games due to an ankle injury that kept him on the sidelines for more than two months.
He has started only two league matches for Inter so far, failing to impress head coach Antonio Conte who is reluctant to make his move permanent.
The player is likely to return back to Old Trafford as sounded out by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who wants Sanchez to prove all his critics wrong.
The Chile international joined the club from Arsenal in January 2018. He scored five goals in 45 outings for United before moving to the Serie A on loan.
