Manchester United are among the clubs to have been linked with Lyon’s striker Moussa Dembele, and reports now claim that the French side are considering lowering their asking price for striker as he is keen on United move.

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Lyon are considering allowing striker Moussa Dembele leave in the summer for less than his £83m asking price.

Further details of the report reveal that the player is keen on a move to United who have long viewed the Frenchman as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

The player started his career at Fulham in 2013, and later moved to Celtic where he scored 51 goals in 94 appearances before making a £20m switch to Lyon in 2018.

The likes of Tottenham, Newcastle, Man City, West Ham and Chelsea have all previously shown interest in the 23-year-old.

The latter tried to land him in January, but Lyon’s ongoing injury crisis scuppered the move.

Speaking about Moussa’s future at the club, President Aulas said last week:

“We already have a certain number of offers for our players for summer. We sell the players who want to leave to where they want to go.”

Dembele has scored 19 and set up six goals in 37 outings for the Ligue 1 side this season so far.
