Former Premier League striker Peter Crouch has hailed midfielder Bruno Fernanades for his impact on the team.
The former Liverpool and Stoke City player also said he would love to have played alongside Bruno Fernandes who has been a difference-maker for the club.
“He’s lifted the club and fans and looks like a leader,” he told BBC’s Match of the Day 2 after United’s win over Watford over the weekend.
“He’s got a bit of arrogance about him and United need that. He sees passes and has a fantastic range of passes. He’s mobile.
“He can open doors – he reminds me of Juan Mata in that sense, but Mata can’t run in behind, use his pace and win that penalty.”
“He’s breeding confidence in other players all day,” Crouch added. “I’d have loved to have been on the end of his crosses. The fans are loving every minute of it.”
Fernandes scored and assisted in our 3-0 victory over the Hornets on Sunday. He also added an assist to his United record in last week’s win at Chelsea.
