According to Italian media outlet CalcioMercato.com, Manchester United are interested in signing Wolverhampton forward Diogo Jota in the summer transfer window.
Further details of the report reveal the 23-year-old has been on the club’s radar for a while now. It is also believed that the club have been impressed by the player’s performances for Wolves.
The Portugal international joined Wolves on a one-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid in 2017. His 17 goals and six assists in 44 league appearances helped Wolves to win the 2017/18 Championship title and therefore secure the Premier League promotion.
Wolves made his move permanent for £12.6m in the summer of 2018. Diogo has scored 12 and set up five goals in all competitions this season. The Portuguese can play as a left-winger, centre-forward or an attacking midfielder.
The 23-year-old is tied with Wolves until 2022.
