Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given a hint that new signing Odion Ighalo will not be in the starting lineup in Sunday’s clash against Watford as the player is still working on his match fitness.
Speaking about whether the striker is in contention to feature from the start against his former side, the Norwegian said: “Odion is getting more and more minutes.
“But [whether he starts] depends on Mason Greenwood as well of course, and how Anthony Martial is [after playing on Thursday vs Club Brugge].
“Everyone says that [players raise their game] against their old team when they score, but there are also many games when you don’t score.”
Ighalo has made two cameo appearances for the club against Chelsea and Brugge.
