Former Club Brugge player Henk Houwaart has claimed that Louis van Gaal was unimpressed with the club’s performance in the Europa League against Club Brugge.
Speaking after the 1-1 first-leg Europa League Round of 32 draw, the Dutchman said:
“Louis thought it was a lousy contest.
“[We] both thought it was a worthless match. After no more than three passes, they lost the ball again (and) Louis sighed.
“It was just friendly. Too bad, because Manchester United were there to be taken, had Brugge player with their best team.”
Van Gaal has been a strong critic of the club since his infamous dismal.
