Manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer was coy when asked if star midfielder Paul Pogba will play for the club again.
“Well of course, I’d like to say that as soon as he gets fit, he’ll be good enough to play for the team. I’m sure Paul’s desperate to play for us again,” Solskjaer said, as quoted by BBC.
The World Cup winner reportedly wants to leave the club in the summer with his agent Mino Raiola claiming a move to former club Juventus could be on the cards.
The club’s huge asking price is said to a stumbling block to a potential move.
The France international has played just twice for the club since September due to an ankle injury. He underwent surgery in early January and could reportedly be ready to play in the Manchester derby on March 8.
Solskjaer was is unable to put a timescale on the 26-year-old’s return to action.
“Paul knows he has to work hard to get back to his best,” the Norwegian added.
“He has been out now for so long now, it’s a challenge to get back into shape.”
