Manchester United play against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup semi-finals second leg at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side have a 3-1 advantage courtesy of winning the first leg at Old Trafford.
Some pundits have shared their prediction for the second leg.
Former striker Michael Owen told BetVictor:
“I think United have given themselves too much to do at the Etihad following their 3-1 home defeat in the 1st leg earlier in the month. United will take heart from the fact that they won the Premier League fixture between the sides at the Etihad last month.
“City were picked off on the break by United in the league game, but it would not surprise me if they played a more conservative game given they don’t have to make the running. It promises to be another wonderful occasion but I feel it will be City who win the tie.”
Ben Gray said on 101 Great Goals:
“Manchester City in complete control after a demolition derby in the first leg. 22 days ago, the Citizens rushed into a three goal first half lead over at Old Trafford. Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and an own goal from Andreas Pereira doing the damage.
“In the second half, Marcus Rashford did pull one back for Man United to give them the tiniest bit of hope. Even so, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side face a mountain to climb. They did win at the Etihad just last month but will need to pull off an almighty comeback to leave victorious this time.”
What do you think, do we have a chance?
