According to report, club owners the Glazer family, have personally assured manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he will not be sacked.
Before the start of last week, Solskjaer was under huge pressure following a run of three games without a victory. But the Norwegian has guided the club to back-to-back wins over Tottenham and Manchester City to put the club back on course to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
But according to MailOnline, Joel Glazer has personally spoken to Solskjaer and has given his full backing to the Norwegian on his future as Manchester United boss.
The report claims that the Glazers are fully aware that Solskjaer needs to be given time to rebuild the team, and also Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is ready to back him with more funds for new signings ahead of the January transfer window.
United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the derby on Saturday evening has put Solskjaer’s side fifth in the Premier League and five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who were beaten by Everton earlier that day.
