Former Barcelona Player Opens Up On Failed Manchester United Move

Former AC Milan and Barcelona midfielder Kevin Prince-Boateng has opened up on a failed move to Manchester United during Fergie’s time at the club.

The Ghanaian International said:

“Nobody knows that after Milan, I had the opportunity to join Manchester United, but Sir Alex Ferguson asked himself: ‘What position am I meant to play him in?’

“I was a jack of all trades in his view and master of none. The transfer was abandoned and I started to focus on being more specific in my approach.”

Meanwhile Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has hailed United’s signing of Harry Maguire.

“He is a lot better than what they have got.

“You can look back and say they [Chelsea] hit the post and had chances and David de Gea made a great save with his feet, but they still kept a clean sheet.

“Whoever keeps a clean sheet every week the other team always has a chance to score. He did well and he will get better.”
