Manchester United have allowed youngster George Tanner join League Two side Morecambe on a season-long loan.
Defender Tanner, 19, emerged in the same youth team as Angel Gomes and is poised to make his career debut with The Shrimps.
Morecambe manager Jim Bentley said:
“George comes highly rated and will be a good addition to our defensive ranks. We are looking forward to working with him over the coming months.’”
Fellow United academy graduate Aidan Barlow is also expected to complete a season-long loan move to Norwegian side Tromso.
Ethan Hamilton could also leave United on loan before the window shuts for League One and League Two clubs on September 2. Hamilton, 20, enjoyed a fruitful four-month spell last term with League One Rochdale, scoring four times to spark their resurgence and avoid relegation.
