Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly agreed personal terms with Serie A Champions, Juventus. He will receive salary of around €9m per year with the Biaconeri if reported swap deal goes through.
According to Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, personal terms were negotiated between Juventus and Lukaku on Thursday.
However, Agresti reiterates the deal is hinging on whether Paulo Dybala agrees to swapping clubs with the Belgian.
The Argentine has demanded a salary of €10m per year from United, and the club is ready to pay. But one major concern is that the player wants to be sure he’s not taking a backward step in his career.
He wants to be sure that the club can still challenge for major honours. This means United have a lot of convincing to do to make him sign on the dotted line.
Lukaku has been excluded from the clubs tour squad amid exit rumours. Manchester United are demanding £80 million for the Belgian’s signature, but Inter have baulked at the fee. However, Juventus are also interested have proposed a swap deal including Paulo Dybala.
Inter Milan seemed to be the favourite to sign Lukaku, but Juve seems to have usurped the Belgian.
