Manchester United’s move for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has hit another stumbling block after Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers refuted claims that Manchester United have almost completed a deal for Maguire.
The 26-year old England International is Manchester United’s top defensive target, and the player has told Leicester that he’s keen to join United.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio had claimed that the club were in the final stages of an agreement for Maguire, but Rodgers has rubbished the claims and has also pointed out that United are yet to meet Leicester’s valuation of the player.
He had this to say to BBC Sport:
“I’m obviously relaxed with it. It is what it is. The player has been first class with his attitude in his training. The club hasn’t changed its stance in terms of the valuation for the player.”
