Recent reports had it that the club is interested in signing Lyon striker, Moussa Dembele.

He told L’Equipe: “Dembele won’t move, the window is closed. Okay [smiles]?”

United have found it difficult to add to the signings of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and James Daniel. One key signing United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will love is the signing of Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

However, Malky Mackay who managed the centre-back at Wigan Athletic strongly believes that the player will fit seamlessly in United.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he had this to say about the player and his potential move:

“It’s a great compliment to himself, he’s gone into Leicester and to break into a central defence with good centre-backs already he’s kicked in there.

“The fact that he’s now got two of the top clubs in the country looking for a top English centre back who’s very well established now in the England team, it’s a great credit to the boy himself and the coaches in the last two or three years that have developed him.”
