Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could be about to get his dream move to Real Madrid if we are to believe reports from Spain.
According to Spanish tv-presenter, radio host and journalist Jose Claros, Pogba is very close to signing for Real Madrid after the Spanish club reached an agreement with Manchester United. Claros further claimed that an official announcement will be made by both clubs soon.
Claros also claimed Real Madrid will pay a transfer fee of €165 million for Pogba which will be divided into two parts with an initial fee of €130 million while further variable payments will add up to another €35m.
The Frenchman will earn close to €12m-per-year at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has urged the club to let go of Pogba. He advised the club to only keep players that really want to stay
The midfielder had this to say.
“If a player wants to leave the club, you shouldn’t stop him,” the 34-year-old told BBC Sport.
“You need players who are 100 per cent into the club and care about the club, that’s the only way you can survive at the top level and have success.
“Paul is a great player, he is just looking for a team where he can play the same style that he does with the France national team, so if you give him that kind of team around him, he would be happy at United.”
