Reports from Sky Italy has revealed that Italian side AS Lazio are willing to let Sergej Milinkovic-Savic move to Manchester United before the transfer window for English clubs.
The Serie A side are awaiting an official bid from the club for the 24-year-old in the coming days.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito had this to say about the midfielder’s future last week:
“Milinkovic-Savic? It will depend on the events and not on the club.
“Last year I managed to reject the assaults, this year we could propose a matter of respect if the player were to propose a different solution.”
United completely consider Milinkovic-Savic as a perfect replacement for outgoing Paul Pogba, who looks set to join Real Madrid next month.
Manchester United have made just two signings so far in this summer’s transfer window but the club are hoping to complete more signings before the close of the window.
Solskjaer had hoped all Manchester United’s summer signings will arrive before the start of preseason but he insists we’ve got to be patient because it is important that the club signs the right players.
“It will take time for any player to adjust to Man United,” Solskjaer said. “Apart from me, it took me six minutes in the first game (against Blackburn)!
“I’m very happy with the two you’ve mentioned, we’ve got to be patient, because it’s a long haul and it’s very important we get the right ones in, we can’t just jump on a different path if when you hit a hurdle.
“My feelings are I’ve not had a frustrated feeling at all.”
