Reports have revealed that Manchester United failed in a late bid to sign Everton midfielder, Idrissa Gueye.
The Senegalese International is expected to sign for French Champions, Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £28million.
PSG tried to sign Gueye in January, but L’Équipe claim the Ligue 1 champions have finally gotten their man.
Gueye will officially become a PSG player next week, but the deal was momentarily held up because of a last-ditch approach from United.
Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes is the midfield option United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is most keen on, but a deal is still far from being closed.
However, reports now claim that the club are closing in on the signing of the Sporting midfielder and that Manchester United appear to have reached a deal with Sporting with the player to undergo a medical soon.
According to Corriere dello Sport, a €70million (£63m) agreement has been reached with Sporting CP for Fernandes.
Fernandes has also revealed that he’s hoping for a smooth resolution to his future.
