Inter Milan have been strongly linked with the Belgian, but have so far been unable to cough up anything close to Manchester United’s asking price.
The club have Douglas Costa as part of a Romelu Lukaku swap deal. The Belgian striker’s transfer saga is continuing to rumble on and after months of being linked with Inter, and it seems that Serie A rivals Juventus have now entered the race.
A swap deal had been mooted which will involve Paulo Dybala, but according to the Daily Mail, the club instead prefer ‘Douglas Costa to be a part of the deal for the Belgian striker.
It’s claimed that Dybala is not keen on a move to Old Trafford, and wants to stay with the Biaconeri. Hence, United have made Costa their next pick, and the player Costa is eager to leave Juventus.
Manchester United have only secured the signings of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and United have until August 8 to complete the signings of their remaining target.
