According to Fabrizio Romano, a tier 1 source, Inter Milan are still interested in signing Striker, Romelu Lukaku from the club.
The Serie A side saw their €60m bid for the Belgium striker rejected earlier this month. Reporter, Romano has stated clearly that Nerazzurri are preparing a new improved offer for the want away striker thought to be €70m + €5m in add ons – as talks between the two clubs continue.
The 26 year old has reportedly flown out to Belgium on Friday to meet with his agent Federico Pastorello, and presumably force a move out of the club.
However, former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has urged wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku to stay at the club.
“I think he should stay,” Berbatov told Sky Sports. “I like him, I don’t agree with all the criticism he’s getting — yes he has some areas which he needs to work like every other player.
“But his teammates need to help him as well.
“For example, if I’m a midfield player and I play with him, I will know how to pass him the ball, when to pass him the ball, on which foot to pass him the ball. This is what your teammates need to know, how to play with you.”
