Manchester United have added Lyon striker Moussa Dembele to the list of potential replacements should the club lose Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, according to Daily Mail.
Manchester United have rejected a bid of £54million for Romelu Lukaku and will only listen to offers close to £75m as the club seeks to recoup the money spent on the Belgian striker during his transfer from Everton two years ago.
Should Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan meet Manchester United’s valuation of the Belgian striker, Manchester United could make a move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
The 23 year old striker impressed during his time at Fulham and Celtic. He moved back to his native France a year ago and has continued to impress, scoring 20 goals in 46 games for Lyon.
Manchester United and Inter Milan have just two weeks to complete a deal for Lukaku and find a replacement with the Premier League transfer window closing on August 8.
Although the Serie A deadline is not until August 23, United have told Inter Milan that there will be a cut-off point after which Lukaku cannot be sold because they would have no time to bring in a replacement.
Manchester United are also reportedly keeping tabs on Juventus forward Paulo Dybala as Lukaku’s replacement.
