A previous manager of Manchester United target Harry Maguire has supported the player’s move to Manchester United. Malky Mackay who managed the centre-back at Wigan Athletic strongly believes that the player will fit seamlessly in United.
In an interview with Sky Sports, he had this to say about the player and his potential move:
“It’s a great compliment to himself, he’s gone into Leicester and to break into a central defence with good centre-backs already he’s kicked in there.
“The fact that he’s now got two of the top clubs in the country looking for a top English centre back who’s very well established now in the England team, it’s a great credit to the boy himself and the coaches in the last two or three years that have developed him.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged Ed Woodward to do all he can to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire this summer.
The Red Devils have seen a bid for the 26-year-old rejected by the Foxes who are holding out for a record £80m fee.
