Serie A side Inter Milan had an opening £54million bid rejected over the weekend for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku and are now weighing up an improved offer for the Belgium striker.
Manchester United reportedly want to recoup the £75m it cost the club to sign the striker from Everton two years ago.
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United have sent a warning to Inter Milan that time is running out for the Italian club to sign Lukaku.
Manchester United have identified several targets to replace Lukaku should the striker leave for Inter Milan.
The Premier League transfer window ends on August 8, which means Manchester United have just over two weeks to sell Lukaku and sign a replacement.
Although the Serie A deadline is not until August 23, United have told Inter there will be a cut-off point after which Lukaku cannot be sold because they would have no time to bring in a replacement.
Will Lukaku finally leave for Inter Milan?
